The next run to Marbella was very sedate, sitting cruising at an easy speed and making good MPG. We arrived at the Hotel Puente Romano in 2nd place again behind the 'Jump' Porsche. Where we finally drank some beer.

In Morocco we found that a Gumball Id Badge actually meant 'Diplomatic Immunity', it was kind of cool! We can remember leaving the port, hustling to the front of the pack then following Kimble off into the unknown and onto our first Moroccan motorway slip road. We accelerated, joined the carriageway to be greeted by the most gorgeous site around the very next corner...

Obviously we did what every other red blooded male Gumballer did, we spanked its arse! And found that the d3 would max out at an indicated 154MPH on the clock (limited?) or a more precise 246KMH on the GPS Speedo where it sat for the duration:

= More than happy Gumballer's!

This oil burner was proving more and more a contender every second. On the way to Casablanca we were passed by Kimble and a black Porsche 996 turbo, other than that, that was it! We then played with Kimble, Rimme in his blue 360 Modena and Team 19 in their Silver Porsche (with green stripes) and when they stopped for fuel it left us and Kim, horns locked battling for glory. We were P1 when Kimble went totally above and beyond the call of duty and showered us with 3rd party car parts after slamming into the side of a local! 10 minutes later we were pulled over at a toll booth and kept there talking to this cop as more and more locals pull up expressing their feelings for being passed by Gumballer's using their rightful 'Gumball Lane'! We move on with the spirit of the Gumball out the window and arrive at Casablanca in 15th.

After a spot of lunch, we cruised to Marrakech and arrived in the top 20 once more. The next day held all kinds of surprises as firstly #57 the Reyland Escort Cosworth rolled off the road, followed by the Gemballa Ceyanne which blew its second transmission. After some more cruising miles we rolled upon our friends Paul and Dean in their Ferrari 360 Spider with a wheel that was going nowhere fast. This day turned out to be 'Today They Fall' , but more was to come in the form of 'Bandana' Mark and his red 360, followed by the 'Torquenstein' Viper. What a day! At the port of Nador, we finally found a nice big open space of tarmac to have some fun and smoke the tyres.

The ship got into Spain much later than expected and we had around 5 hours to cover the 500+ miles from Almeria to Barcelona for the Grand prix. However, we soon found that the Spanish police here were not so happy to see us again and really did pull our pants down! We got through the first toll booth and after we heard reports for fines of 315€ for every Gumball car for "taking part in a illegal unauthorised road race", we decided to go into special ops mode. We found a secluded industrial estate, taped up the whole right hand side of the car with black gaffa tape (duck tape) and carried on. Close up it looked horrible, but from 30 feet away, Bingo!

Our theory was to go through the very left toll booth, the furthest away from the waiting cops and look like a normal black saloon BMW, yeah right like Gumball Baby! And it worked a treat. The cops didn't even look twice at us and we simply drove past the herds of other Gumballer's that where pulled over at the side of the road and fined at the local Police station. A few people proceeded to remove the Gumball stickers from their cars, but if you are in a Porsche, Ferrari or Lamborghini then you where pulled anyway. We had no more hassle and we just drove, but we were still behind schedule, we arrived at the Barcelona Grand Prix just as it finished and the roads were changed to exit only! We missed getting in by only 20 minutes. Then we pushed on to the Ray Juan Carlos hotel in the centre of Barcelona where we arrived shortly after.

That night we had some food in the Gumball Marquee and went to the club around the corner for 'a few Chardonnay's'. We ended up drinking the free bottles of spirits on the table and were more than happy when (GT3 RS) Rob puts another on the table - nice one mate!
